Course SummaryThis is one in a series of courses that focus on the phases of The Requirements Discovery Process. This course is intended to take the participant through a process of describing and documenting the scope of your project. Scope defines what is, and is not, part of our system. The course teaches techniques to identify the in and out-of-scope business activities, objects, interfaces and variations as a fundamental first step to scoping the product functionality. Elicitation methods are covered that involve subject matter experts and representatives from other systems and departments. The discussion of scope also introduces the project team to methods of modeling the high-level scope and ensuring an appropriate level of detail is specified that will enable a fast and accurate start to a project. And we’ll be applying best practices along the way so that your definition of scope will contribute to the definition of business requirements that conform to industry best practices standard deliverables. Delivery Options- Self-paced, on-line

Reviews Actually teaches how-to-do requirements Jan 1, 2003 Reviewer: Kevin from Publix Super Markets
This is the first time I’ve ever seen a course, particularly an e-learning one, that actually teaches you how to do requirements analysis properly. Other methods emphasize tools, automation and theory but don't offer a clear and practical way of identifying all your clients’ needs.
